Molding Temperature

Thanks to the excellent thermo-stability of Nylon-MXD6, it is easy to form it into various products using extrusion or injection molding methods. The molding temperature of Nylon-MXD6 coincides well with those of other polymer resins as shown in Fig. 14. You can compound Nylon-MXD6 with polyolefin or use it for co-extrusion or co-injection with Nylon 6, Nylon 66, polycarbonate or PET, whose forming temperatures are rather high.

The molding temperature of Nylon-MXD6 is 250-290℃. Please do not heat Nylon heat Nylon-MXD6 to temperatures over 300℃, as this may result in decomposition, thus reducing its viscosity or causing discoloration.
