Crystallization Speed

The crystallization behavior of Nylon-MXD6 is similar to that of PET. It is possible to extrude Nylon-MXD6 without causing crystallization using either a roller or water based cooling solution. Nylon-MXD6 crystallizes most quickly at temperatures of 150-170℃. Its favorable crystallization speed over other polymer resins allows thermal forming and drawing of Nylon-MXD6 under a wide range of conditions.

The relationship between the temperature and 50% crystallization time of Nylon-MXD6 and other resins are shown in Fig.1.
