Stability& Reactivity |
Decompose into toxic gas (nitrous oxide) when burnt. Water solution shows strong basicity; reacts violently with acid and corrodes aluminum, copper and zinc. Reacts violently with many compounds such as oxidants and mercury to generate impact-sensitive compounds. Reacts with nitrite and nitric acid to generate very toxic nitrosoamine under a special conditions. |
