Agreement with the TNFD Recommendations and Registration as a TNFD Adopter

Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc. (MGC; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo Japan; President: Yoshinori Isahaya) has endorsed the recommendations for disclosure announced by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD*1) in September 2023 (the TNFD recommendations), and registered as a TNFD Adopter in July 2025.

TNFD Adopters are companies and organizations that have expressed their intention to provide financial disclosures in accordance with the TNFD recommendations and registered on the TNFD website. The Company’s registration is scheduled to be announced in November 2025 at the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP30), to be held in Belém, Brazil.

MGC has formulated the MGC Group Declaration on Environmental Sustainability, which articulates its commitment to helping to realize the sustainable development of society in the future by taking actions aimed at maintaining a healthy global environment. Recognizing that business activities rely on various benefits provided by natural capital and biodiversity while also having an impact on them, MGC is working to realize a nature-positive*2 society by promoting initiatives for nature-related risk management and information disclosure in accordance with the TNFD recommendations. MGC’s initiatives and policies based on these TNFD recommendations will be disclosed in “MGC Report 2025 (Integrated Report).”

MGC will contribute to the development and harmony of a sustainable society through the creation of wide-ranging value based on chemistry, guided by its Mission of “Creating value to share with society.”
