Green Energy & Chemicals Business Sector
This sector is developing product chains from natural gas and mixed xylene.

Methanol serves as a basic raw material for various chemical products, and its use as a next-generation fuel also attracts attention.

Featuring excellent gas barrier properties, MX-Nylon is used for plastic bottles for carbonated beverages, among others.

MXDA features excellent corrosion resistance and is used for paints for ships and wind turbines, among other applications.

This is a clean power source that uses underground magmatic heat. It also attracts attention as renewable energy.

Aromatic aldehydes are used in a wide range of sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and dyes, in addition to being used as raw materials of fragrances.

BioPQQ supports people's health through our food ingredients that comply with the Japanese "Foods with Function Claims" system.
Specialty Chemicals Business Sector
This sector provides products that are close to end users, operating businesses linked directly to market needs.

Super-pure hydrogen peroxide is a material that is essential for nano-level cleaning in the semiconductor and silicon wafer manufacturing processes.

Used for digital camera lenses, smartphone parts, and others, optical polymers contribute to enhancing functions of cameras.

Used as materials of electronic substrates of smartphones, computers, and servers, these products contribute to downsizing and performance improvement of equipment.

POM is an engineering plastic featuring high strength and superior wear resistance. It is also used in numerous familiar items, such as automotive parts.

This is a highly transparent, extremely strong resin that is used mainly for smartphones and automotive headlights.

This product maintains good taste and freshness of food by preventing oxygen-caused deterioration.

Supporting ICT and mobility society
We are contributing to the development of ICT by developing and supplying BT materials for IC plastic packaging, super-pure hydrogen peroxide as cleaning agents for electronics industry, and optical resin used for smartphone camera lenses, among other products. In addition, in the mobility sector, we provide diverse products including engineering plastics and chemical blowing agents, which help to reduce the weight of vehicle bodies. We will create new businesses and products in succession, thus providing value that is essential for digital innovation and mobility revolution.




Tackling energy and climate change issues
We are advancing initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality by leveraging our many years of experience in the development of natural gas fields and manufacturing of methanol. We focus our efforts on manufacturing of methanol from CO2 as the raw material and research and development on CO2 capturing, storage, and use. Meanwhile, we will contribute to solving energy and climate change problems in ways that are unique to a chemical company, such as the use of methanol/ammonia as hydrogen carriers, a geothermal power generation business, which only the Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group is tackling within the chemicals sector, and the development of materials that extend the service life of wind power generation equipment.

Contributing to the healthy lives of people
In response to the population growth and acceleration of aging across the world, the Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Group is developing and supplying products that are directly linked to the advancement of preventive and predictive medicine and productivity improvement of medical care. In addition, to tackle the food problem, we started sales of oxygen absorbers, which extend the shelf life of foods, in 1977 and have been improving the products for more than 40 years since then. Fully harnessing the Group's management resources, we will continue to develop advanced technologies that will enable us to contribute to extending healthy lifespans and to sustainable food management.
