Startup of Operation of POM Producing Company in China

  Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc. (MGC; Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Masashi Fujii) has completed preparations for the first operation of its polyacetal (POM) producing company, DP Engineering Plastics (Nantong) Co., Ltd., in which MGC has an indirect investment in China. MGC is pleased to announce that commercial operations at the company will commence at the end of November 2024.

  MGC Group has production companies located in Thailand and Korea. By adding a new production site of Iupital™ and KEPITAL™ in China, we are enhancing our global production and supply system (which has an annual supply capacity of approximately 200,000 tons per year.) This expansion will also contribute to further developing our growing polyacetal business.
