Site Search Tips

This search will search the pages published on the company website (www.mgc.co.jp/eng/).

Enter a keyword for the page you wish to find in the Search box, then click the Search button.

Basic Searches

If you enter multiple keywords separated by spaces, the search engine will look for pages that contain all the keywords.

Search Result Display

Search results are displayed in order of relevance.
Relevance to the input keywords is calculated automatically, and results are displayed in order from highest to lowest relevance.
If you click the “Most Recent” link, the results will be shown in order from newest to oldest.

Advanced Search

To narrow down page results even further using a number of keywords combined with search conditions, refer to the below.

Search for pages that contain all keywords ('and' condition)

& , ‘and,’ or a half-width space
For example, degradation&barrier, or ‘degradation and barrier’ search for pages that contain both ‘degradation’ and ‘barrier.’

Comments

This will reduce the number of search results. Use when initial search returns too many results.

Search for pages that contain at least one of the keywords (‘or’ condition)

| or ‘or’
For example, degradation|barrier, or ‘degradation or barrier’ search for pages that contain either ‘degradation’ or ‘barrier.’

Comments

This will increase the number of search results. Use when a number of expressions exist for the desired content.

Search for pages that do not contain a specified keyword ('not' condition)

For example, degradation~barrier will search for pages that contain ‘barrier’ but not ‘degradation.’

Comments

This will reduce the number of search results. Use when initial search returns too many results.

Search for pages that contain an exact phrase (phrase condition)

For example, “new product announcement” (with spaces separating the words) will search for pages in which the keywords in the “ ” appear in exactly the order specified.

Comments

In the case of single, continuous expressions, such as ‘CoenzymeQ10,’ the phrase “coenzyme Q10” is not returned (‘coenzyme Q10’ is returned).

Use several conditions together (multiple conditions)

For example, (new products|new product information) ~ (degradation|barrier) searches for pages that do not contain the words ‘new products’ or ‘new product information,’ but do contain the words ‘degradation’ or ‘barrier.’
Of course, it is also possible to use combinations of &(and) and |(or).
