Electronic Materials Division
In the electronics field, MGC was the first company in Japan to develop the base material for PWBs (for transistor radios), and since then has continued to offer highly functional, high performance products that meet the stringent requirements of the electronics industry. In our three facilities in Japan, we produce some unique materials. BT laminates based on B- resin, our own invention, are widely used in IC plastic packages, high frequency devices, and similar electronic devices. We have developed high performance epoxy laminates for the communications field that requires high speed and multi function. Laminates are not the only products we produce for the PWB industry. We also make LE(Lubricated entry) SHEET. LE SHEET is an entry sheet that helps to make good quality holes with mechanical drilling. Our products are widely used by customers in Japan and throughout the world. We will continue development with our highly sophisticated technology in order to meet the increasingly more complicated and density-oriented needs of the electronics industry.

The K computer 
,the world’s fastest supercomputer, adopts MGC’s high performance FR4 product in it.
June 20, 2011, the K computer has taken world’s first place on the TOP500 List of Supercomputers. RIKEN and Fujitsu Limited, have been working together to complete the development of the K computer by 2012.
And, MGC’s high performance FR4 product, “CCL-EL230T” is used as a material for printed circuit board in this K computer.
Such FR4 products are manufactured under the same and strict quality control level as MGC’s product for semiconductor package application use, and produced in MGC’s manufacturing subsidiary located in Fukushima Prefecture. With its superior electric properties and reliability performance, MGC’s high performance FR4 products are widely used in high-end electronic appliances such as high-end server/router, tester of semiconductor or supercomputer and so on.
MGC would keep developing cutting-edge products that answers the needs of the age, and keep contributing to society from now on as well.
