Aromatic Chemicals Division II
Using this company’s original superacid catalyst technology, we handle xylene metamer production and its general-use derivative products. The products we handle are the raw materials and additives for fibers and synthetic resins, coating compounds, etc., making them indispensable to our daily lives and industries. The separation technology for xylene performed through this company’s superacid catalyst is very unique, and efficiently separates the mixed xylene obtained from the petroleum refining process into Meta-xylene, paraxylene, orthoxylene with the xylene metamers obtained efficiently with this technology, we are expanding our line of derivative products together with the MGC Group.
From paraxylene, we derive high-purity terephthalic acid, which is the chief raw material for polyester and PET resins, from orthoxylene, we derive phthalic anhydride, which is the raw material for unsaturated polyester and coating compounds, and plasticizers, from Meta-xylene, the Aromatic Chemicals Division I derives our company's original specialized chemical products, and in addition, we derive high-purity isophthalic acid, the need for which is continually growing as a secondary raw material for PET resins.
